A MOISTURIZER FOR YOUR BUTCHER BLOCK!

Do you use moisturizers on your skin? Are all moisturizers created equal? Personally, I think not. Therein lies the difference between mineral oil and Boos Block Cream. Yes, mineral oil by itself will work but it is very greasy. I use John Boos Mystery Oil Butcher Block Oil which has a combination of mineral oil, linseed oil and orange oil (all food safe) and leave it on through the night. After that gets absorbed into the wood, I put a top coat of this creamy Boos Block Cream. It is thick and rich and creamy and puts a nice coating on top of the block. You can apply it after the oil or wait a day. You'll find a regimen that works for you. I think both Boos Block products work in tandem beautifully to extend the life of your butcher block!

I read reviews and reviewers said use mineral oil it is the same and cost less. I ordered it because I don't find the price unreasonable. I have a good investment in my John Boos board and want to take Good care of it. This cream is wonderful. It made such a difference. Buy it. You will not be sorry.

Easy to use , Works perfect and Protects Boos Blocks

I Bought this because i bought the Boos Blocks board with the stainless handles , it goes on really easy with your hand and soaks in perfectly overnight , in the morning you just rub off the extra with a rag or paper towel and its as good as new
I even poured water on top soon after i rubbed off the excess and sure enough the water beaded right off
Another good thing it seems to protect from Fruit stains , We have been cutting a lot of strawberries etc and normally that would stain a cutting board but with the wood cream it doesn't stain at all so far
If you bought a expensive cutting block/board you would be silly not to protect it
