Stood the test of time
By C. G. King
I've had this scraper for many years and although I've tried other fancier ones, this has always won me back because of its features. The ruler markings are still visible after eons of use, but the thing that makes this scraper a winner over the others for me is that it is deeper than others. I use mine for dividing my bread dough and that can be a pretty big hunk so the shallower versions don't work for that. I also use it often for scooping up chopped vegetables or herbs to dump into a pot. I don't use it for chopping. The bottom edge is not sharp, but I suppose it would be effective for nuts although I don't know why you wouldn't just use a knife. The thing is that after I've chopped whatever with my chef's knife, I don't find the knife to be a convenient transport device. Stuff falls off the edge onto the floor and makes a mess. I can get a lot on this gadget though and keep it handy on my countertop all the time wedged between my bottles of olive oil. I use it as a scraper after I've kneaded my dough or just to clean the counter of other dabs of dried stuff before wiping it down.
It is still in as good shape now as when I bought it. The writing is worn off some, but I've used it a lot. It cleans up more effectively than other versions because it's just stainless steel with no other substance to consider. It does well in the dishwasher and is easy to rinse clean under the faucet.
It's a great multitasker which other versions aren't so much so I consider it a kitchen essential. Having it stored on my counter and handy to grab has made it the tool of choice for a lot of unexpected things. Ever try to pick up a broken egg from the counter (or the floor)? This does it pretty effectively. The surface is big enough to hold all the goo with your helping hand for transport to the sink. The kids' playdough and other such materials? The spilled beans? I've used it to spackle when I couldn't find that tool, get museum putty off the wall, you name it. It's a handy stiff straight edge with enough surface to hold a fair amount. It's easy to grip and is easy to clean. It's one of those things you come to take for granted because they are so useful, practical and unassuming. Every kitchen needs one.

This is the BEST!
By Angel K
This is the best Scraper/Chopper ever. It scrapes up dough sweetly on my granite counter top. I also have used it to scoop up mixed chopped veggies on my wooden cutting board. It's a lovely versatile scraper. I especially love the health aspects of it being stainless steel, it is much better then anything with a plastic or wooden handle.
This is so convenient, I use it all the time now. It looks fantastic and functions even better! It cleans up super easy with a little dish soap, hot water and then I just wipe it dry!
The measurements on the side are nice when I am cutting certain veggies to keep them all uniform.
Really a terrific product for every kitchen and the service from the seller was amazing. It arrived super quick and in no time it was washed and being used in my kitchen!

Easy to use and easy to clean
By Maxwell Johnson
A board scraper is a handy thing and this is a good one. Made entirely of heavy stainless steel, its nicest feature is that it can be tossed into the dishwasher and will come out spotlessly clean with no odd bits of pastry embedded around the handle. The business edge is ruled in inches but printed rather than engraved or stamped. I'm not sure the rulings will survive repeated use. Other than that small potential downside, this is a winner.
